Montessori Block Handicrafts
The business team comprising of grade 12 students
soldcolourfulrakhis to parents of Nursery, Junior Montessori and Senior
Montessori during the PTM of these classes on July 29, 2017. The rakhis were sold as a part of the
Fundraising Event of ‘School Enterprise Challenge’, an initiative of UK based charity
‘Teach a Man to Fish’. Rakhis prepared by students of Senior Montessori were sold
to the parents before the advent of RakshaBandhan festival, an important Hindu
festival epitomizing the unconditional love between a brother and a sister.
As it was festival season, we had an ample sale
and our customers appreciated the products. We got an opportunity to interact
with our customers and enhance our communication skills. While maintaining the
cash counter, I learnt to work under pressure and handle a number of customers
at once. The event enabled us to work as a team and boosted our confidence. It
was a very valuable experience as it would be helpful in our future career.
