A Philanthropic Endeavour by Choithram School, Manik Bagh
With the money collected from various Fundraising Events of
School Enterprise Challenge, the students of Choithram School, Manik Bagh
visited Sri Krishna School in Sardarpur (a small town in Dhar district in the
state of Madhya Pradesh on November 27, 2017 to empower them with the resources
needed for better living. Sri Krishna School is a boarding school with minimal
infrastructure and is run by three teachers, wherein 150 students from nearby
villages study. The students established a library by giving a cupboard and
books to kindle the joy of reading amongst the children. The students gifted
six green boards to make the teaching process interesting for these rural
children. They also provided sports equipment comprising of badminton rackets,
football, volleyball, cricket bats, shuttle cocks, tennis balls and rubber
rings to make the lives of these rural children colourful.
The school also donated two sets of uniform to the students.
