Selling Senior School Handicrafts
In the Fundraising event on November 3, 2017 during the PTM of
grade 6 to 10, we sold a variety of wonderful and eye catchy products like decorated
dry leaves, pen stands of jute, decorated cup candles, keychain holders and
paintings. These artifacts were prepared by students of grade 6 to 10 during
their Art activity periods. Saplings
prepared in the school by Eco Club students from flower and stem cuttings were
in great demand and sold like hot cakes.
The business enterprise team comprising of grade 11 and 12
students learnt new ways of selling the products and enhanced their
communication skills. While talking to the parents we found out that they were
very much interested in buying our products and were pleased with our
initiative of reaching out to the community. We also gave cloth bags to some of
the parents whom we saw carrying polythene bags as a part of our ‘Say no to
plastic bags’ initiative to safeguard our environment.
