Selling Junior School Handicrafts
The business team
comprising of grade 11 and 12 students sold colourful earthen lamps (diyas),fridge
magnets and pen stands to parents of grade 1 to 3 during the parents - teacher
meeting on October 25,2018. The earthen lamps were sold in no time as the sale
was organised just a week prior to Diwali,
an important Hindu festival symbolizing the home coming of lord Rama
after killing the demo, Ravana. The business team members also sold customized
T-shirts, a new product line added by them this year where they sell their
stock as well as take orders from the customers specifying the size, colour and
what they wish to get printed on front or back of the T-shirt – their name, any
cartoon character or a cool quote and delivering their orders within three
working days’ time. We learnt how to
convince the buyers, how to manage a large crowd in limited time, how to take
quick decisions as well as to count cash meticulously in a short span of time.
Parents also purchased the products because of their utility. The earthen
lamps, fridge magnets and pen stands were prepared by grade 1, 2 and 3 students
during their CCA Indoor Activity periods. The shining glitter and the beautiful
coloursof the products attracted the customers to purchase the products.
