Selling Senior School Handicrafts
The school enterprise challenge is a way through which the
students are able to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and creativity. It
helps bringing the students as well as the customer closer to the environment.
In the Fundraising event on October 22, 2016 during the PTM of
grade 6 to 12, we sold a variety of wonderful and eye catchy products like
keychain holder, key chains, lampshades, hair clips, bangles, earrings, jute
bags, wall decoration, paintings and saplings at a very nominal price and also
helped to reuse different materials lying waste in school and homes. The
business team comprising of students of grade 11 and 12 students sold the
products while the students of grade 6 to 10 showcased their creative skills by
making these products. The enterprise team learnt new ways of selling the
products and enhanced their communication skills. While talking to the parents,
our revered customers we found out that were very much interested in buying
these products and were pleased with our initiative.
Through school enterprise challenge we are able to achieve two
objectives - social and environmental. The funds collected by us are being used
to establish a library in an orphanage, gift musical instruments to the
visually handicapped and provide school bags to street children. At the same
time we are trying to manage waste, use our resources judiciously and bring
awareness among people about safeguarding the environment.
