‘GOOD
EARTH’ ACTIVITIES IN THE SENIOR SCHOOL

Activities
Students of grade 6 to
10 created beautiful handicraft products, jewellery items and cloth bags/jute
bags from various waste material lying in the school and at home during the period
August – October 2016under the supervision of their Art teachers Ms. Rohini
Ingle, Ms. SunitaUpadhyay and Mr. Manoj Singh Chauhan during their Art periods. The creative products made by the students
conveyed the message of safeguarding the environment by incorporating the three
R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and turning the ‘planet’s waste into best’. The
students made the following products:
Grade
6: Key chains from old plywood
pieces and decorative material like kundan, beads and mirror
Grade 7: Clips from satin ribbon, kundan and
clips
Grade
8: Key chain holders from old
wooden pieces and decorative material like kundan, beads and mirror
Grade 9: Ear rings from old wedding cards and
metal rings
Grade 10: Complete set paintings from old newspapers
