Junior School Handicrafts
The business team comprising of grade 11 students
soldeye-catching matkis and decorative wall stickers (made with X-Ray sheets) to
parents of grade 3 during the PTM on August 29, 2017. The matkis were prepared
by students of grade 3 while the wall stickers were prepared by students of
grade 5 during their art activity periods in the school. These items were sold
as a part of Fundraising Event of ‘School Enterprise Challenge’, an initiative
of UK based NGO ‘Teach a Man to Fish’. Students' convincing skills and the
vibrant colours of the matkisattracted the customers. Due to heavy rainfall
parents that day, the parents asked us for cloth bags which we did not have to
offer. The event gave us a valuable experience that we
must have some cloth bags/paper bags in the subsequent Fundraising Events to
cater to the demands of our customers. The funds will soon be distributed among
the poor sections of the society to help them in some way and reduce their
problems.
