FUNDRAISING
Selling Rakhis
The ‘School Enterprise Challenge’ an initiative
of UK based NGO ‘Teach A Man to Fish’ organization provided an opportunity to the
business team of grade 12 to put their selling techniques in practice.
An Inter House Rakhi Making Event was organized
in the school on August 17, 2015 for the students of grade 6 to 8 wherein
students made beautiful rakhis from recycled material. These rakhis were then
put up for sale during the short break on August 19 & 20, 2015 for teachers
and students. Morning assembly announcements were made to inform the students
and teachers beforehand.
Ms. Charlotte Harris, Head Teacher, Stoke Row
C.E. Primary School, Oxfordshire, UK and Ms. Gillian Fraser, Global Citizenship
Co-ordinator of the same school who are visiting our school from August 19 to
August 28, 2015 also witnessed the sale of rakhis on August 20, 2015.They
appreciated the efforts of the students and said, ‘It’s impressive to see the
professional skills your children have developed at this
age.’
