FUNDRAISING
Selling
Junior School Handicrafts
On October
17, 2015 during the PTM of grade 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 students our school
enterprise named Handy Handicrafts Organization (H2O) exhibited the handicraft products
made by students of Junior School. We raised funds by selling different
products made by the students from of these classes during their Art periods,
Club Activity periods and Intra Class Activities.
Students
of various classes made various products listed below from recycled material:
Candle
Decoration – Grade 1
Earthen
Lamp Decoration (Diya Decoration) – Grade 2
Lanterns
– Grade 4
Door
Danglers (Toran) – Grade 5
Greeting
Cards, Wall Hangings, File Folders – Grade 3 to 5
The
display and sale of handicrafts was held at two venues: at the Junior School
Reception and Indoor Sports Complex due to the PTM being held at two different
places. Grade 1 and 2 handicrafts were
put up for sale at the Junior School Reception while Grade 3, 4 and 5
handicrafts were displayed for sale in the Indoor Sports Complex.
The salewill
raise funds for our partner school - Bwafwano School in Zambia for the children
living in abject povertywho barely get one meal to eat in a day. As we the students of
grade 11 and 12 had our examination on October 16, 2015, the task of selling
these items was given to grade 5 students who did a marvelous job under the
supervision of their teachers. The parents were also impressed with the
spontaneity and communication skills of the young ones who were ready to follow
in the footsteps of their seniors.
