Eco-Friendly Lord Ganesha Idols
Students of grade 9 to
10 prepared eco-friendly Lord Ganesha idols made of clay before the advent of
Ganesh Chaturthi festival. These idols were prepared by the students during
their Clay Modelling periods under the guidance of their Clay Modelling
teacherMr. Sanjay Bhandawadiya. These idols when immersed in water at the end
of the festival do not damage the water bodies and the surrounding environment.
On the other hand students of grade 6 to 8 of Eco Club of Senior School made idols
of 'Tree Ganesh' containing soil, manure, seeds and natural colours. After the
immersion, these idols will grow into saplings. The students prepared these
idols under the guidance of their Eco Club teachers Ms. DeepaliAhirrao and Ms.
Vijaya Ravi. These idols were sold to teachers and students by the business
team on Saturday, September 3, 2016; two days prior to the festival of Ganesha
Chaturthi.
