‘Education that Pays’ in London
Ms.
Raminder Mac, Dean – International Affairs of Choithram School, ManikBagh was
invited by UK based charity ‘Teach a Man to Fish’ for the award ceremony of
School Enterprise Challenge in London on November 14, 2017. She received the
People Prize of School Enterprise Challenge 2016 on behalf of the school and
the Inspirational Teacher Award during the ceremony. She also attended their
11th annual ‘Education That Pays’ Conference on innovative enterprise education
in London on November 15 & 16, 2017. She was one of the participants of the
panel discussion, the title of which was ‘Lessons from the Front Line:
Advancing Understanding: Teaching Skills for Success with Results’ which was
moderated by Sally Walker, the Senior Programme Manager of the School
Enterprise Challenge. She was also one of the speakers in the Roundtable
Session pertaining to ‘Integrating 21st century skills into the classroom’. The
session was moderated by India Jankel, Programme Officer, Teach A Man To Fish.
The conference featured business leaders, education experts and international
organisations. The speakers included eminent personalities like Martin Burt,
Founder and CEO of Fundación, Paraguay, Steve Carver, Chair of the WinWin Group
and an entrepreneur and Nik Kafka, CEO & Founder, Teach a Man to Fish.
