School Enterprise Brings Schools From India and Nepal Together
It was a proud moment for School Enterprise Challenge when their Gold Level Schools - Choithram School, India and Arjun English Boarding High School, Nepal embarked on a reciprocal student and teacher exchange programme to enhance 21st century skills of their learners. The programme was initiated by Lead Teachers of the business enterprise of the two schools, Raminder Mac of Choithram School and Sudeep K. C. of Arjun English Boarding High School. Both Raminder and Sudeep are also members of the Teacher Advisory Panel of SEC.
While students and teachers of Arjun family visited Choithram School from January 15 to 23, 2020, students and teachers of Choithram School visited Arjun family from February 2 to 9, 2020. A remarkable feature of the exchange programme was Sudeep’s visit to Choithram School along with his students. Members of Choithram School’s business team ‘Good Earth’ apprised students and teachers of the partner school about their business as well as learnt about their business enterprise ‘Students’ CafĂ©’. They discussed about the various problems encountered while running their businesses and how they successfully tried to overcome the challenges. It was astonishing to see how similar their enterprises and challenges were even though they were both based in completely different settings.
Members of Choithram School’s business team also organized a sales event on January 22, 2020 in the short break wherein they sold saplings to students and teaches of own school to enable students and teachers of their partner school to understand the running of their business.
Both the schools look forward to strengthening of their partnership in coming years. Raminder and Sudeep give entire credit to SEC for bringing both the schools together.
