Selling Compost and Saplings During Parent Teacher Meetings
The ‘School Enterprise Challenge’ an initiative of UK based charity ‘Teach a Man to Fish’ provides windows of opportunities to the school students to set up a business of their own in their school. The school runs a business enterprise named 'Good Earth' in this context. During the Parent Teacher Meeting of class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 students on October 13, 14 and 15, 2022, the student council of the Junior School did an excellent job of selling compost produced from food wastage as well as saplings of tulsi and aloe vera to the parents. The parents were very happy to see the youngsters donning the role of their seniors who were busy with their half yearly examination during this time. The young prefects were able to reach out to the parents in a very convincing and polite manner explaining them how the compost was prepared in the school and utilisation of funds for serving the needy in the society.
