SECOND SESSION
OF SCHOOL ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE RELATED TO BUSINESS PLAN

Ms. Raminder Mac, Dean – International Affairs of the school and Lead
Teacher of the school business enterprise facilitated the second session of
School Enterprise Challenge related to Business Plan for teachers of other
schools on August 10, 2019. 13 schools from Indore and nearby regions are
participating in this years’ School Enterprise Challenge, an international
contest run by UK based charity. Teachers from The Emerald Heights
International School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Medicaps International School
and Rankers International School attended the session. At the outset all the
teachers shared their experience of participating in the challenge and their
journey till now citing one high and one low moment. All the teachers felt that
‘time management’ was a big constraint as they all had to squeeze out extra
time for running the enterprise though all of them had full support of their Management/Principal.
At the same time they all felt that participating in the SEC was an enriching
learning experience not only for their students but for themselves too. They
all shared their business idea inviting suggestions and feedback from others. Every
question of the business plan template was discussed in detail by Ms. Mac
providing valuable inputs to teachers to keep in mind while brainstorming with
the students and subsequently answering the template.
